Blog Tour Wraps-up

I started blogging in August of 2010 on a site that I’ve since closed called Books & Brands.  I wanted to combine my passion great customer experiences with my love of reading and books. A weird combo I know, but it worked for me.

The entire experience has been full of surprises. I had no idea what to expect, to tell you the truth.  I thought I’d get more readers faster, that’s for sure. But, I also didn’t know what a wonderfully supportive community I’d find online.

I read all kinds of blogs regularly. I have some that I subscribe to, and others that I click links on twitter or facebook. I love reading people’s blogs. They’re like a window into their lives.

I’ve participated in blog tours with a couple publishers, and I actually run blog tours (or hops) as part of my job as Community Manager for Our Kids Media.

Right now I’m reading Stony River by Tricia Dower. I’ll be finished that shortly, and then I’m going to read Gone Girl, because I heard that the main character is even weirder than I am.
