If you haven’t already noticed, one of our fundraising strategies is to sell some of our new and used book donations online through Amazon.ca. As the technology advances, so do the resources for teaching and literacy. Although our main goal remains to build libraries in sub-Saharan Africa to help eradicate poverty, we understand that books may not offer as up to date information for some of our programs. E-books and tablets offer the opportunity to deliver interactive programs and up-to-date information. We hope to offer access to these new technologies.

And that’s where our fundraising on Amazon comes in! Books that are donated and do not follow our Donation Guidelines are either listed on our Amazon Store or donated back to our local community donation centre. Other books that are worth more to sell on Amazon than to send to Africa, are also sold online.
